This book follows the life of Anansi and his Son, which he mentioned in American Gods. I've always enjoyed Neil Gaiman's work ever since the Sandman Comics. If you are familiar with his comics and movies, you will know exactly how the characters and scenes look like in your head. Truly a treasure.

Das Buch beginnt etwas langsam, jedenfalls kam ich nicht auf Anhieb an die Geschichte heran, wurde dann aber wirklich sehr schnell zu einem grandiosen Werk, wie man es von Neil Gaiman gar nicht anders erwarten würde.Wer "American Gods" mochte, wird auch dieses Buch garantiert mögen. Wer beides noch nicht kennt, kann jedoch auch getrost zuschlagen - Neil Gaiman schafft es wie immer hervorragend, seine Geschichte so dicht zu halten, dass man das Buch kaum weglegen kann.

somehow a spin-off of American Gods by Gaiman, this novel is written in a much lighter mood than its "parent". Some passages reminded me of 1930ies Hollywood screwball comedy film. I went almost literally ROFLMAO sometimes.

You probably bought this because you know Neil Gaiman. So what is there left to say? Wonderful story telling, fantastic language and just a good book. In some ways even better then American Gods for me personally.

Geschrieben, wie man es von Neil Gaiman kennt. Auf seine sehr persönliche Art lässt er einen Charakter zwischen Florida und London pendeln. Zwischen Biederkeit und Auflehnung. Zwischen Mensch und Gott.

Mein erstes Buch von Neil Gaiman (habe alle schon als gedruckte Bücher gehabt, aber der Kindle macht einiges leichter)ein wunderbarer Autor..danach habe ich auch alle anderen ergattert..

Neil Gaiman at his best - again. Without a doubt one of the most consistant quality writers of our age.

Wer Fantasy ein wenig ausserhalb der normalen Genres mag, wird dieses Buch lieben, es ist zwar etwas kurz, aber auch sehr kurzweilig
